UAV Air-Breathing SAM Upgrade Recommendations
Can a hybrid Surface to Air Missile, UAV loiter for hours and then become a missile to down an enemy aircraft? A net-centric battlespace component, which can operate completely autonomously without the help of satellite communication, AWACS or any other source. This BLOS radar unit can be mounted on a ship for the Navy or trailer for Army or Marines, well then such a single mission UAV, or kill projectile would be one excellent tool. Shoot it, forget about it as it will find its target eventually, even if it has to dog fight it's intended victim. An incoming force of a hundred Chinese fighters would have to try and dog fight a hundred UAVs, which can pull 18g's as apposed to the manned modern fighter plane of 8-9 G's due to the weakness of the human pilot. Since these UAV SAMs are air breathing they will not run out of rocket fuel or be limited in range and therefore can be very small and stealthy and able to dodge air to air missile defenses of the incoming fighter planes or enemy threat. If the cost to build was high, perhaps we could even fly them back, disarm in the air and parachute them for later use if they did not find a target or if all targets were destroyed already? Look at the text of Mienkoff or patterns in the Declaration of Independence. Hibernating Humans for Space Flight Can we hibernate humans using hydrogen sulfide gas for long-term space flight? The answer is most likely; "YES". Scientists have successfully hibernated mice spontaneously using hydrogen sulfide gas. The next step for let's say NASA using this data would be to take some mice up on the next space shuttle launch and hibernate them in zero gravity. Theoretically it should be possible and will most likely work. If we can put many mice on the ISS, International Space Station, under varying lengths of hibernation then we can prove concept. This maybe an ideal way to hibernate humans for long-term space-travel to distant stars, for instance to Alpha Centari and back. Get Hot on Combustion Energy in the form of heat is obtained when fuel is burnt in air. The release of this heat energy can be slow or can be very rapid. Composite Materials in Ships, Pipelines, Liners and Aircraft One future problem, which has not sufficiently been addressed, is that of the fumes and smoke created when composite material burns. Composite material is a truly great human achievement in material science, however as we use this material in more and more places we need to be acutely aware of the risks and potential consequences of their use. First the shape of this thing would be similar to the new shopping mall shade cover on the Las Vegas Strip. An oblong flying saucer shape would be two of these, which would be stacked like pancakes. They would be apart by 1/3 the length of each symmetrically shaped oblong saucers shaped lighter than air blimps. In the middle would be an hourglass shaped unit. Attaching the two blimps, similar to the struts on a Baby Great Lakes Acrobatic Aircraft.
